A Virtual Success

As a part of HAI’s outreach efforts on the STEP program, Patty Reitkopf, HAI’s On-Site program director and Max Daniels, Cultural Events director, recently met with staff and students at Columbus High School’s Global Enterprise Virtual Ticket Company. This elective business course for high school students was created for those who want to learn on-the-job skills. The goal was to begin collaboration on marketing the STEP program to school groups. After a highly successful meeting, Ms. Reitkopf said, “It will give the students opportunities to use their ‘virtual’ business skills in the ‘real world,’ while giving HAI a creative new way to reach out to many potential STEP participants.” Students from the Virtual Ticket Program, Sirkhon Lin, CEO, Stephanie Gonzalez, Treasurer and Sohar Kraidsky, CEO, along with Coordinator, Patricia Johnson, paid a visit to HAI to discuss the collaboration.

After the meeting, Max Daniels reiterated that “Since this group already sells tickets, albeit ‘virtual tickets,’ it seems a good idea to give them the opportunity to assist HAI in selling real tickets.” Everyone left the meeting looking forward to working together to make STEP a success.
