Audiences Delight to Come on and Hear!

On May 4th & 18th, as part of its Community Performing Arts Series, HAI presented Come On and Hear! The Love Story of Irving Berlin, performed by Mark Nadler and KT Sullivan. The duo have received many awards, including the recent 2004 Best Muscial Revue from Manhattan Association of Cabarets and Clubs.

One client writes: “Irving Berlin’s music brought back memories of our own romance. [My husband] was a radio operator on a troop ship in the US Army in 1943 when we married at ages 17 & 21. We are now 78 & 83, married 61 years and have 2 children, 5 grandchildren & 10 great grandchildren.”

Another attendee writes: “Mark Nadler and KT Sullivan were superb and received a standing ovation from a packed house. As a senior... senior... pushing 88... I grew up with two brothers and a sister who composed a three piece orchestra that performed in the Borscht Belt during the 1920’s... and most of the songs they played for an appreciative audience (with me waving my arms like a conductor in front of the stage)... were composed by Irving Berlin.... I still remember all the lyrics to ‘Always’... which I was lip-synching when KT Sullivan sang this number... Thank you most sincerely for advising us of the wonderful event (my wife totally agrees with me).”
