"What was amazing about ‘Take Ya Time’ was that it gave us, as teachers, a way to discuss and develop an understanding of various potentially violent situations and ways for the kids to really think about practical, real-life solutions to their own experiences and problems."

This comment by Keith Bishop, Student Teacher at P.S. 333M, was made after attending the premiere of Take Ya Time, presented at HAI on March 1, 2006 for the school’s 4th-grade class.

HAI has developed t his theatrical work to address bullying among children in grades 3 through 5, utilizes HAI's interactive theater techniques. After 30-minute, assembly performance, children return to their classrooms for follow-up workshops, in which they role-play in order to practice identifying and managing their emotions, and brainstorm realistic responses to bullying situations.
